International Ferry & Flight Test Group

Flight operations are conducted worldwide, and in a variety of airplane types. Although some types are operated more frequently than others, the following types are currently supported by IFFTG:

Airbus - A318, A319, A320, A321, and A330
Douglas - DC9, MD80, MD90, MD95/B717, DC10, and MD11
Boeing - B727, B737, B747, B747-400, B757, B767, and B777

Hundreds of resumes are received annually. Because the job description of a ferry and test pilot for IFFTG includes strong engineering and maintenance components, the most competitive applicants will: (1) hold a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering; (2) hold airframe and powerplant mechanic's licenses or have work experience as a mechanic; (3) have graduated from test pilot school, or have been assigned to test flying duties with the military or an airline employer; and (4) hold type-ratings on an airline transport certificate for at least 6 modern airline transport types.
