FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The following are among those questions most frequently asked of IFFTG by customers. Answers to specific questions not listed here may be obtained by contacting IFFTG - click on the "Contact Data" button for telephone information, or click on the "E-Mail IFFTG" button.

Question 1: Can IFFTG operate airplanes under foreign registration?
Answer 1: Yes.

In some circumstances, an airplane registered in a foreign country can be operated by IFFTG flight crews under their USA FAA pilot licenses. In other circumstances, it is advisable or necessary to obtain a "flight crew license validation" - essentially a temporary pilot's license for a specific airplane and flight event - from the regulating authority in the country of airplane registration. It is customary for regulating authorities to charge a fee of some $300.00 USD to $800.00 USD for the issuance of a flight crew license validation. IFFTG obtains validations frequently, and can usually obtain them within a few days, although some countries require longer for processing.
